THE ROSICRUCIAN FELLOWSHIP
March 20,
2004
10: AM to
6:00 PM
An event has been scheduled to take place at The Rosicrucian Fellowship
which has not been authorized by either the Board of Trustees or The
Ecclesiastical Council. The latter official body of the Fellowship has the
authority to approve all events to take place at Mount Ecclesia. Information
regarding this event was not presented to The Ecclesiastical Council. This
event has been advertised in local newspapers prior to its presentation
to either The Ecclesiastical Council or the Board of Trustees for approval. As
this event is clearly a profit-making event, we are in violation of both our
Bylaws and our Articles of Incorporation. The Rosicrucian Fellowship is
registered in the State of California in the category of Non-profit Religious
Corporations. As such, the Fellowship is also tax-exempt.
The enclosed article appeared in the local newspaper on Sunday, March
7, 2004.
Equinox

Diego’s first Spring Equinox Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 20 at

Temple and grounds, and an outdoor concert at sunset featuring renowned
guitarist Scott Huckabay. Other musicians and dancers will highlight the day’s
festivities and the event is appropriate for the entire family. Ticket

This event has proven to be a clear interference with the spiritual
program at Mount Ecclesia. For many years, we have celebrated the Equinoxes and
Solstices with special programs and Services. The Ecclesiastical Council had scheduled, in
accordance with our tradition, A Western Wisdom Bible Workshop to be held at
Mount Ecclesia from Friday, March 19th, 5:00 PM through Saturday, March 20th
9:00 PM. The programs including the list of events at the time of the Vernal
Equinox Celebration and Holy Week, which includes Easter, were printed and
distributed about a month ago. There is
NO mention of this “San Diego’s First Spring Equinox” in the printed program.
When the leaders of our W.W. Bible Workshop learned of this bazaar, with dancing
and drumming, etc., they informed the members of The Ecclesiastical Council
that they would not lead out in our own Workshop. This effectively cancelled
the official Fellowship event, leaving only the money-making bazaar.
The following excerpts are quoted from The Rosicrucian Fellowship Bylaws
